The large scale cell culture,become a mojor need for viral vaccines. Inthe 1940’s and 1950’s major epidemics (polio) conducted a lots of work for the development of an effective vaccine. After1949 when it was prooved that poliovirus could be grown easily in human cell cultures, a big interest was dragged into the development of large quantities of the polio vaccine using such large scale techniques of cell culture.
